A Cape Flats woman lost her life after a shack fire occurred near the Blackheath water and sanitation facility.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning after the woman was burnt to death in the shack she was living in.
Disaster Management spokesperson Wilfred Solomons-Johannes says that fire services were called out shortly after three o'clock this morning.
"One shack, on the Jacobsdal farm near Kuilsriver burnt to the ground,” says Solomons-Johannes.
The cause for the blaze is still unknown, but officials are investigating.
