Cape Town Mayor and Democratic Alliance Leader, Helen Zille will on Sunday lead an anti-drugs march in Macassar at 4pm.
Macassar is one of the many communities in the Western Cape that is destroyed by drug abuse and gangsterism.
We have identified that tik is affecting especially our young and we are protesting to show that we sympathise and understand the frustrations of the community in that these problems are not being solved,” says Metro Regional Director, Rose Rau
The march will take place from the Macassar police station.
The Macassar crime prevention unit will be on duty to patrol the area during the march.
