The Congress of South African Trade Unions and a number of other organisations will be marching to Parliament today to deliver memorandums to Government and business.
According to Tony Ehrenreich, Cosatu spokeperson, the march is against the growing crisis around food prices and the deepening crisis in Zimbabwe around the elections.
“It impacts and impresses on them the huge consequence of rising food prices on our communities, says Ehrenreich”
“The government must urgently act on the issues of Zimbabwe on the fact the elections are being stolen from the democratic voice of the people.”
The march will start at Keizergracht Street at 10am and proceed to Parliament where a memorandum will be handed over to the identified parties 12pm.
“The communities should all come to support as there will be free trains to transport them to and from the march.”
