Two suspects arrested after double murder in Westbank

On Thursday evening two men were shot dead at Hamerail Street in Westbank, Mfuleni.

“The victims sustained several gunshot wounds. One of the victims was still alive at the time, but later died in an ambulance due to his wounds,” says Captain Anneke van der Vyver.

According to Vyver the possibility that the incident is gang related is being investigated.

“South African Police Services immediately questioned onlookers where after two suspects aged 21 and 23 – years – old were arrested,” she added.

Both suspects are currently in police custody on a charge of Murder.
