Bus crash kills two people

Two people have been killed the past weekend following a head on collision of a luxury sedan and a bus on Sir Lowry Road.

According to police spokesperson Captain Randall Stoffels, a Golden Arrow bus and a Volvo sedan collided on the corner of Sir Lowry Road and Russel Street, not far from the Good Hope Centre, at about midnight on Friday.

Stoffels said the two occupants of the car were killed on impact, but the driver of the bus escaped unharmed.

The cause of the accident is still unknown and investigations are under way.
