Grassy Park house robber wanted

An unknown male suspect is wanted by the Grassy Park Police, after illegally entering and robbing a house in Woodrow Way, Zeekoevlei on Monday.

According to police the unknown male gained entrance through the complainant’s residence through the back door.

It is alleged that the complainant was threatened with a knife and ordered to open her safe, which was located in the bedroom. After opening the safe, the suspect took the contents thereof, an amount of cash, jewellery and a firearm.

Inspector Knapp said that a struggle ensued, whereafter the complainant regained control of the firearm and managed to discharge it. The suspect then fled the scene without the firearm.

"The suspect can be described as having a long face and round forehead. He has brown deep set eyes, a thin nose and a skewish mouth, is of slender build with a medium complexion, brown hair and an unshaven stubbled beard."

Knapp added that the male is 1.6m tall and is between the ages of 20 and 30 years. He also has a scar under his left eye of approximately 3-4 cm in length and wore a yellow top, blue jean, black shoes and a greyish beanie.
