Brackenfell police embarked on a spree over the weekend when they arrested 26 people.
Police spokesperson Elliot Sinyangana said a number of people were arrested for burglary, some arrested for theft and attempted robbery and the remaining suspects arrested for fraud and possession of drugs.
“All these people appeared this morning, some of them will still appear in the Kuilsriver Magistrate Court on various charges.”
Sinyangana also said it was clear that the police in the area have made a pledge to make sure that they will stamp their authority, so thieves won’t dominate the area.
