More than R10 000 worth of drugs and several unlicensed firearms were confiscated, in what is said to be the biggest raid in the Cape Metropole.
In a joint operation between the City of Cape Town’s substance abuse task team, Metro Police and the SA Police Services, two suspected drug dealers were arrested.
A suspect was arrested in Avondale in possession of tik, with a street value tik of R10 000, 49 sticks of dagga, 34 tik pipes, and 17 rounds of ammunition.
Meanwhile arrests were made in Steenberg, after police confiscated tik and Mandrax, with a street value of R3 000.
Councillor Glen Kleinsmith urged the communities to assist Community Policing Forums or any Neighbourhood Watch Forums.
