A Somali man who went missing after swimming in False Bay near the Blue Waters safety site for displaced people on Saturday is still missing.
The refugee believed to be in his twenties had reportedly been swimming with two other residents of the Blue Waters site when he disappeared.
A search by the National Sea Rescue Institute, South African Police Services and divers both on Saturday and Sunday proved to be unsuccessful.
The City of Cape Town’s Pieter Cronje says, the remaining displaced people staying at the Soetwater safety site were moved to Blue Waters Saturday, while about 30 people were transported from Chrysalis Manor to Blue Waters.
“Relocations from other community halls will continue during the course of the week.”
