A Somali man in his twenties is missing after swimming in False Bay near the Blue Waters safety site for displaced people yesterday. He is one of the displaced foreigners in Blue Waters.
A search by the National Sea Rescue Institute, the police and divers resumed this morning. According to reports, the man was swimming with two other residents of Blue Waters when he disappeared.
City of Cape Town’s Pieter Cronje said that, the search will continue today until there’s an outcome.
