The body of an unidentified male was found on Saturday morning, in the Tsunami Informal settlement in Delft.
The body was found by a passer-by in the early hours of the morning.
Captain Joe Wilson has urged anyone with anyone with information to contact the investigating officer, Constable Eagan Knoop at the Delft Police station on 021 954 9000.
“The deceased had an open wound to his chest, possibly inflicted with a sharp object and he was clothed in a blue denim jean, cream denim jacket, a red T-shirt and white takkies.”
Wilson said the circumstances surrounding the incident are unclear and the police are currently investigating a charge of murder.
