KwaZulu-Natal police are on high alert for Jacob Zuma’s supporters’ who, have since last night, gathered outside the Pietermaritzburg High Court.
Yesterday, supporters turned violent when police members were stoned, buildings invaded and shops looted.
Two police members were seriously wounded.
Judge Chris Nicholson will rule today whether the National Prosecuting Authority's decision to recharge the African National Congress president was lawful.
However opposition parties have condemned the ANC supporters’ behaviour.
United Democratic Movement leader Bantu Holomisa said this is the culmination of the inciting statements, leaders have been making.
“It is a pity that it is the ANC, which lead the revolution of this country many years ago, has culminated into our State, being a constitutional state.”
“That’s why you find that the law of the jungle, is the order of the day.”, Holomisa continued.
Holomisa said he hopes the law enforcement will continue and show no mercy to anybody, who is breaking the law.
