Police are hunting for a gang of robbers following a robbery at a house in Sunset Beach, Milnerton last night.
Four armed men got out of an Audi and approached a couple, who were seated in their BMW in the driveway. The suspects threatened the couple and forced them to unlock the door to the house.
Inspector Daphne Dell says, “They took a plasma television and fled the scene in the victim's silver BMW registration number CA 310753, leaving the Audi on the scene.”
Milnerton Police quickly responded and pursued the suspects, who fired several shots at the members but the suspects managed to escape and are still at large.
Police later reported that the Audi was discovered to have been hijacked earlier this month in Kirstenhof.
No one sustained any injuries during the incident and police have now opened a case of Attempted Murder, House robbery and Theft of motor vehicle for investigation.
