A mine in Carletonville has claimed the life of yet another mineworker.
The mineworker died at Kloofmine after a rockfall.
The National Union of Mineworkers has called for the release of the Presidential Safety Audit Report ordered by former President in October last year.
The NUM believes that the release of the report is long overdue and that the report is likely to bring all parties up to speed with the state of safety in South African mines.
NUM spokesperson, Lesiba Seshoka said NUM has passed on the condolences to the families.
“We call on the department of mineral and energy to release the Presidential Audit report.”
