This morning abut twenty-to-three a suspect was arrested for Housebreaking and Theft in Lower Main Road, Observatory.
The arrest follows after the police responded to a housebreaking compliant in Trill Road, Observatory that occurred shortly before the suspect was arrested at about half-past-two.
Sergeant Hilton Malila says that “the complainant was asleep when she heard a noise in the launch. The complainant went to investigate, and saw somebody carrying a bag running out the front door.”
“The suspect gained entry to the house by forcing the burglar bar of front window open. During arrest we recovered a laptop and personal documents, belonging to the complainant, in the suspect's possession.” said Malila.
The 21 years old male suspect will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's court tomorrow.
