On Saturday morning during the early hours at about 04:30 members of the Woodstock Police arrested a suspect in Addison Street, Salt River for Armed Robbery and Theft of Motor vehicle.
The arrest follows after the police members on patrol tested a vehicle that was parked in Foundry Road, Salt River. The system indicated that the vehicle was stolen during an armed robbery on Thursday at about 23:30 at a service station in Main Road, Observatory.
SAPS seargent Hilton Malila says it is alleged that the suspect pointed the victim with a knife after which he got into the vehicle VW Polo. The suspect drove for a while after which he dropped the victim in Beach Road, Woodstock.
‘The 18 years old suspect is expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's court today on chargers of Armed Robbery and Theft of Motor vehicle.”
