The first Peninsula Toastmasters Club meeting this year is on Thursday 29 January at the Tafelberg Tavern, Roodehoek Terrace, Gardens from 5.45 pm until 7.15pm. Buy 2009 calendars for R100 and R70 to raise funds for the Caspian Alexander Trust to feed sterilise and care for animals. The paintings have been done by learners from Rustenburg Junior School. To order, call Inge De Villiers on 082 328 2877.

Volunteers are needed in the trauma room at Diep Rivier police station. You must live in the Diep Rivier precinct, have your own transport, cell phone and be trained by Nicro. For details call 021 710 7315.
