Two teenagers from Gansbaai near Hermanus on the south-western Cape coast have been rescued after spending the night drifting on a small rubber duck off Danger Point.
Craig Lambinon of the National Sea Rescue Institute says 14-year-old Bradwell Europa and 16-year-old Ferzel Sheriff drifted out to sea after experiencing engine problems just after eight last night. They contacted their families and an extensive search was launched.
“Both of them were rescued and were taken to hospital suffering from hypothermia and treated for dehydration, they are otherwise fine”
