Woman held for possession of hijacked vehicle

A 24 year old woman has been arrested for possession of a hijacked vehicle. Police found the woman as the only person present in the premises where the car was stripped. Captain Elliot Sinyangana says the car was confirmed to be hijacked.
Police were informed about a stripping of a vehicle at an address in New Cross Road. When police arrived the vehicle was already stripped inside and they discover the vehicle was hijacked early January.
“The owner was driving in Gugulethu and asked two guys for direction instead they dragged him out and left with his vehicle,” said Sinyangana.
The woman was arrested.
“Our investigation continues because we believe that there could be more people involved in this case,”
The two males who hijacked the car were arrested in New Cross Road appeared today, in the Athlone Magistrate court.
