12 February
The Western Cape Blood Transfusion Service is going to open a new permanent blood donor centre at N1 City Mall in Goodwood this February. The centre is going to be launched on the 19 of this month.
Western Province Blood Transfusion Service, Public Relations officer Marika Champion says the centre is very central for all donors midway between the Northern and Southern suburbs.
The centre will be opened daily between 10am and 5.45 pm as well as Saturdays between 9am to 2.45 pm and Sundays and public holidays between 9 am to 11.45 am.
“This is the first time that the blood transfusion service has a facility that is opened every Sundays, Saturdays and as well as those extra hours” said Champion.
Champion added that they want to be more convenient and accessible to the working people giving them more time to donate outside working hours.
