Law enforcement officers at Clifton 4th beach have warned beach-goers to be on high alert.
This comes after a spate of robberies along the city’s Atlantic Seaboard.
They said the robbers are hard to spot, because they look like ordinary beach-goers.
Officers said this is likely to be a crime syndicate. The items stolen are mostly bags and other possessions. Shaun Smith, from the City’s Law Enforcement says, “Bags are being taken, and they could either be opportunistic thieves or a syndicates.
“We had a syndicate on the beach stealing cellphones, the season before last. But this year, its mostly bags and other possessions.”
Smith urges beach- goers to be extra careful.
