Air force helicopters have been called in to water bomb several wildfires in raging in the Western Cape.
Fire-fighters are continuing to monitor several wildfires in the Western Cape.
Local fire-fighters have been working around the clock to manage the sheer number of fires.
According to Working on Fires, wildfires in Stellenbosch and Jonkershoek are still raging while a plantation fire in Clanwilliam and a fire near Gansbaai and Hermanus have been brought under control.
In Hermanus fresh teams will be deployed this morning to extinguish the blaze.
A wildfire near Plettenberg has also been contained after staff at the Algerian Resort had to be evacuated.
