Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, who addressed the Berlin Business Forum about the 2010 Soccer World Cup, says that South Africa will be equipped to host the event.
“There are a lot of questions whether South Africa will be ready. ‘Should they start looking for another place?’ But we are going to be ready for 2010. The infrastructure is proceeding very well and is almost complete,” said Dlamini Zuma.
She further urged Germany to support South Africa during this world sporting event.
Dlamini Zuma added that the Country is also getting ready for the Confederations Cup, which will take place in June.
“It’s a much smaller event, but still, it will give us a dry-run to some extent.”
