The body of the driver's assistant, 68 years-old Willem Joseph, was found next to the Piketberg - Velddrift Road by a farmer this morning. The deceased had an open wound to his head.
“The two suspects who were arrested on Wednesday for murder, kidnapping and hi-jacking appeared in the Citrusdal Magistrates' court today. The case had been postponed until Thursday; however they will remain in custody, said SAPS spokesperson Captain Bernadine Steyn
“Two of the suspects who were arrested on Tuesday appeared in court today. 37 Years-old Azeem Abdurahman from Zeekoeivlei appeared in the Wynberg Magistrates' court on a charge under the Stock theft act. The case was postponed until 1 June 2009,” said Steyn
39 Years-old Rafiq Motlekar from Plumstead appeared in the Athlone Magistrates' court on a charge under the Stock theft act. The case was postponed until 3 June 2009.
The third person, who was also detained on Tuesday, was released last night.
The case was temporarily withdrawn pending the outcome of the investigation.
