A 39 year-old-male was taken in for questioning in Khayelitsha in connection with the Murder and Armed Robbery incident that occurred on Friday in Makhaza .
Captain Bernadine Steyn says two people passed away on the scene, a male bystander 52 years-old Jonguxolo Phamla from Makhaza and a Securtiy guard 26 years-old Blessing Basela from Gugulethu.
The suspect, who sustained a gunshot wound to his neck and stomach during the incident, passed away last night in hospital. We are still trying to locate his family, says captain Steyn.
“It was later confirmed that two more bystanders were wounded during the incident.
‘One woman sustained a gunshot wound in her leg and the other woman was wounded in her arm and the side of her body. Both are in hospital in a stable condition.”
The police have opened a case of Murder three charges and Armed Robbery two charges for investigation
