Police investigation confirmed that a truck with two occupants, who left Pofadder on Sunday afternoon were transporting meat to Cape Town.
Police spokesperson Captain Bernadine Steyn says the police suspect that the truck was hi-jacked near Citrusdal and that the meat, with a value of about R300 000-00, was missing when the truck was found.
The deceased 30 years-old Mervin Visagie was found dead with stab wounds and the other occupant, a 68 year old male from Pofadder, is still missing, police have launched a search for him, captain Steyn.
Police have opened a case of Murder, Kidnapping and Hi-jacking for investigation.
