A father is being investigated after him allegedly driving over both of his children in a freak accident yesterday. According to reports the man is former Springbok captain Corne Krige's brother-in-law.

SAPS spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie said according to information one of the children opened the passengers door and both of them ended up falling out of the vehicle and landed underneath the rear wheels of the vehicle.

“When the father stopped to investigate the accident, the two had already died due to the injuries they both sustained,” said Pojie

“We are currently investigating a culpable-homicide and the matter will be fully investigated and then submitted to the Senior State Prosecutor, who will make a decision whether somebody needs to be prosecuted or not,” said Pojie
