The Congress of South African Trade Unions says President Jacob Zuma has promised that he will serve two terms in office.
Cosatu’s Zwelinzima Vavi told the media in Johannesburg today and said the question of a successor for Zuma was inappropriate.
Cosatu also decided not to support the renewal of Reserve Bank Governor Tito Mboweni’s contract when it expires in August.
Cosatu backs a metal workers’ call for strikes to force the Reserve Bank to announce more interest rate cuts.
