A 14 day old baby has been reported stolen in Tygerberg Hospital. The boy was stolen from his crib on Ward J-2 on Friday night.
“The nurses noticed that the boy was missing at about 20:30 and immediately reported him to the authorities.
“The baby’s mother (from Delft) has been in a coma for some time and is currently still in the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital” said police spokesperson captain FC van Wyk.
There are no photos of the baby. He is dark in complexion and he only known as BZ Ncumani.
A case of Abduction is registered for investigation. Anyone with information can contact the Investigating Officer, Inspector Japhta August on 082 522 1095 or alternatively Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

This is unaccepteble. Someone need to take responsibility for negligence. The ward use to be so secure and how dis the perosn pass the nursing staff. I hope that the department of Health realise that the service is in a Serious Crisis
