After a three day search for missing two year old , the body of Leah Arends was found yesterday afternoon.
The girl was playing with her cousins when she fell into a fast-flowing sewerage drain on Friday.
“The body was found yesterday afternoon at the Zeekoevlei sewerage works and there will be a post-mortem held this morning," said Inspector Ian Liebowitz.
According to Liebowitz, her body had been "badly" ground up by the blades inside which crushes all solid items.
"Parts of her body were rather badly churned up and this comes as a result of the blades in the system," he said.
