People from 15 informal settlements across the city have submitted their list of grievances and demands to the Mayor of Cape Town Dan Plato.
This comes after angry residents marched to the Mayors office yesterday demanding adequate housing and water and sanitation facilities.
Mzonke Poni, from the Anti Eviction Campaign, said the memorandum was submitted to the Mayoral office’s media spokesperson.
Poni said residents are now waiting for a response and hope that action will be taken by Mayor Dan Plato.
