Operations at Game, Dion and Macro stores around the country have not been affected by staff protests.
Workers affiliated to commercial union SACCAWU marched in Bloemfontein, Durban and Johannesburg on Friday calling on their bosses to address concerns about wages, shifts and working conditions.
Massmart’s Brian Leroni said the company was not expecting any more disruptions.
“If they were to consider extending this they would have to give us a further 48 hours notice of their intention to do that. At this point we’ve had no further notification that they do intend extending the action,” Leroni remarked.
