Seven people were injured when a taxi overturned on the N2 near Vanguard Drive in the direction of Somerset West this afternoon.
Of the seven injured, two people sustained reasonable injuries and the remaining five people sustained minor injuries.
“The patients were taken by ER24 and Metro EMS ambulances to various surrounding hospitals for further treatment”, said ER24 spokesperson Tristan Wadely.
“Police, Traffic and Fire Department were also in attendance. Traffic was affected on the off ramp of Vanguard Drive onto the N2”, added Wadely.
The cause of the accident was not known by paramedics on the scene.
