Tavern owner lays criminal charges against police

Whitehouse tavern owner, Mxolisi Mahote has laid criminal charges against the police and metro police.

It is alleged that police shot rubber bullets at patrons and caused damages totalling R81 000 to his establishment.

“ The cases opened at Delft police station were of malicious damage to property and public violence. All the cases are under investigation,” said SAPS spokesperson Captain van Wyk.
