A collision between a taxi and a car in Modderdam road in Bellville South has left 12 people injured.
The patients were taken by ER24 and Metro EMS ambulances to Tygerberg Hospital and Elsie’s Day Hospital for further treatment.
“When paramedics arrived on the scene of the accident, they found a Toyota Hi Ace taxi lying on its side in the road and a Nissan Almera that had gone up on the pavement”.
“It is unclear in which direction the vehicles were travelling or how the collision occurred” said ER24 spokesperson Triston Wadley.
Some of the injured people were assisted by Metro Rescue ans Fire Department crew.
