The horrific accident on the N2 , that left fourteen people dead on Sunday near Plettenberg Bay, have been identified.

However, police say their identities will not yet be made public until their families have been contacted.

“Some of the deceased have been identified but we want to reveal all the names at the same time. The driver of the Volkswagen and the occupants were from Port Elizabeth and were on their way to Cape Town where they worked,” said Captain Malcolm Pojie.

The other victims were from Franschoek.
