As one of the 2010 World Cup host cities, Cape Town has received a R12 billion investment from national government. Residents will benefit from lasting improvements to services and infrastructure.
In a press release the City of Cape Town’s annual review of its five-year planning process will “assess and analyse the many benefits that have resulted from the city’s involvement in the 2010 Soccer World Cup Tournament”.
Public meetings have been arranged by the City’s IDP department in all eight Planning Districts from 24 August 2009 to 14 September 2009.
