The City of Cape Town has advertised more 15 00 teaching jobs in the province.

Teaching vacancies jobs are published twice a year.

“The posts were filled by contract teachers until they were permanently filled, the current vacancies were a result of a staff turnover”.

“The staff turnover rate reflects mainly resignations and retirements. This is in turn leads to a chain reaction as staff move from posts to posts” said Education Department spokesperson Paddy Atwell.
