Former boyfriend of Idols winner sentenced to life

Cheslin Williams, the former boyfriend of Idols winner Karin Kortje, has been jailed for life for the murder of Cape Town guesthouse owner Renate Kellerman.
Williams was found guilty in the Bellville Regional Court two months ago of the 2006 murder. Magistrate JP Vermaak said the murder had been senseless.
Kortje and Williams spent time at the Durbanville guesthouse before the murder.
