The Democratic Nursing Organisation of South Africa today presented a trophy to struggle hero Albertina Sisulu.
Denosa honoured Ma Albertina for her role in the development and transformation of nursing and the health sector in general.
The union says she played an integral role in the formation of Denosa and provided stability and tolerance during the volatile times of the nursing struggle.
The ceremony took place in Linden, Johannesburg this afternoon.
Sisulu celebrated her 91st birthday last week.
