A case of attempted murder has been opened at the Bishop Lavis police station after a 13 year old girl was wounded last night.

Police spokesperson Captain Louw says the girl was playing with her friends when they heard a gun shot.

“The next moment a 23 year old man from Vygieroad was slightly wounded at the back of his head, the bullet reflected back and hit the 13 year old girl from Endstreet in the left ankle,” Louw said.

Louw says the victims where both taken to Tygerberg Hospital.

Bishop Lavis police believe the case is possibly gang related.

However a case of attempted murder was open.
