11 killed in Eastern Cape head on collision

There has been another horror accident involving a bus and a taxi in the Eastern Cape in which 11 people lost their lives.

Six people were injured in the accident on the N2 between Mthatha and Qumbu.

Arrive Alive spokesperson Tshepo Machea says five passengers from the taxi survived and 11 died on the scene.

The bus driver was the only person injured from the bus.

Machea says the road is straight and it is suspected that fatigue played a role in the head-on collision.
