African National Congress secretary General Gwede Mantashe has urged members of the tripartite alliance to avoid public spats and labelling.
The ANC national executive committee resolved at its lekgotla in Ekurhuleni over the weekend that problems should be resolved within alliance forums.
Mantashe says issues which arose at the Communist Party’s special conference last year, at which ANC leaders were booed, will be finalised at a bilateral with the SACP after receipt of a report from the ANC delegation that attended the conference.
