Three men are held in for questioning after a seven year old boy was wounded during a shooting in Revensmead yesterday.
It is alleged that an argument started between two groups of people, and then later ensued into a physical confrontation.
Police spokesperson Captain Joe Wilson says a shot was fired out of a White Honda ballade and hit the boy in his left leg.
“He was standing in a nearby shop, when he was hit by a bullet,” said Wilson.
He was treated on the scene and transported to a nearby hospital in a stable condition.
An attempted murder case is being investigated.
Wilson says the follow up information they received from the public lead them to the arrest of the suspects aged 16, 18 and 19.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is requested to contact the Investigator, Detective Inspector Deon Powell at Ravensmead SAPS at 021 933 9000 or 082 559 4697.
