A suspect has been arrested for being in possession of dagga in Khayelitsha.
Metro Police Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro says swift reaction by the metro police resulted in the arrest of one suspect and the confiscation of 100kg of dagga after they were tipped-off by members of the Enkanini informal settlement in Khayelitsha.
“The suspect tried to flee, but was caught and arrested. The owner of the shack fled the scene, but she is known to the community and our members will be searching for her.”
“The suspect was taken to the Harare police station where he was charged with dealing and possession of dagga,” said Faro.
