A Blikkiesdorp resident has been arrested for the possession of stolen property with an estimated street value of R1 000.
The arrest follows after police initially found dagga in the suspects possession, but upon further investigation recovered 309 cellular phone pouches under his bed.
“The suspect was not able to give a reasonable proof of purchase and was arrested for being in possession of suspected stolen property,” said Captain Joe Wilson.
Police have urged anyone who suspects the property might be theirs, to contact the investigating officer, Detective Constable Beukes at Delft SAPS on 021 954 9000.
