A 19 year old suspect accused of kidnapping a one day old baby in Mitchell’s Plain has arrived in Cape Town.
Police spokesperson Captain Rewayne Muller says DNA tests will be conducted to determine who the biological mother is and an identification process will also be held on the suspect.
“The suspect from Philippi allegedly offered to carry the baby while the mother went to buy cool drink near the Mitchell’s Plain taxi rank last week Friday.
“She will appear in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate’s Court, court 4 on Monday on a charge of Kidnapping,” said Muller.
