Two alleged drug dealer’s nabbed

Two suspects were arrested in Strand at the weekend for being in possession of drugs.

Police’s Warrant Officer Godfrey Tawana says public alerted police about drug activities happening in the area.

“When we executed the operation, we arrested the two suspects while they were busy wrapping the drugs into parcels,” said Tawana.

The following items were confiscated during the raid: Three boxes of ashton parson crammed with 18 powder packets filled with heroin, seven packets of one gram plastics filled with heroin, one plastic bag filled with 38 gram of crystal meth (tik), one plastic small bag filled with 0.4 gram of crystal meth, one x plastic bag filled with 15.7 gram of rocks, one x plastic bag filled with 9 gram of cocaine, one box containing three dupe max blades.

Tawana says also ten empty ashton and pason powder boxes, one glass bowl, one bag containing 112 unknown brown tablets, small digital scale used to weigh drugs, five cellphones, two digital cameras and R3 510. 00 were also confiscated

The street value of these drugs is estimated at R 40 000. 00.

The suspects aged 31 and 43 were charged for possession of drugs and were released and warned to appear before the Strand Magistrate’s Court on August, 23.
