A woman travelling by a Metro rail train was stabbed to death at the Muldersvlei train station near Stellenbosch this morning.
The 31 year old deceased was commuting from the direction of Cape Town when the man jumped into the train as it stops, stabbing her with a knife.
She died on the scene due to the injuries she sustained.
Police spokesperson Captain Rene Matthee says the suspect was arrested on the scene.
Police are investigating the motive for the attack.
