The South African film industry will receive a boost today when Minister of Arts and Culture Lulu Xingwana signs a co-production treaty with France.
The signing is one of a number of big events for South Africa this weekend at the Cannes Film Festival. Bafana Bafana shirts, chakalaka and vuvuzelas made the annual South African party this year.
Guests at the party tried their hand at blowing the instrument, while the minister invited everyone to come to the World Cup.
The stars of the new Winnie movie, Terence Howard and Jennifer Hudson were also in attendance.
